Constitutional Rights

Defending Law-Abiding Ohioans

In his first legislative act as Governor, DeWine signed legislation into law to fix an error that would have inadvertently banned certain types of weapons from law-abiding Ohioans. DeWine designated businesses that sell, manufacture, or supply firearms and ammunition as “essential” during the pandemic and most recently signed “Stand Your Ground” legislation to allow gun owners to defend themselves in public with their firearms.
